He is nicknamed "Eiffel Tower" because of its pyramidal shape. Valley of the Brenne is its birthplace. A cheese head in Pouligny St. Peter gave the name of his village pyramid-shaped cheese he made. Over the years the name became known to be the benchmark of goat cheeses of this form. The AOC authorizes its production in 22 municipalities in the district of White in the Indre.
